Biden to announce $375M military aid package to Ukraine

As America teeters on the brink of financial collapse due mostly to political fighting over the debt ceiling crisis, President Joe Biden is making sure his buddies in Ukraine are well taken care of.

According to Breitbart, Biden is set to announce yet another massive "military aid" package to President Volodymyr Zelensky worth a staggering $375 million.

The latest aid package is one of many sent to the non-NATO European country since Russia invaded last year.

The announcement comes as Republicans and Democrats jockey for political positioning in the ongoing negotiations surrounding the debt ceiling crisis.

It's even worse

Many might not be aware that America isn't simply sending piles of cash to Ukraine -- it's much worse.

The aid packages consist of top-grade U.S. military equipment and ammunition, including artillery rounds, armored vehicles, firearms of all types, and related equipment -- equipment that, you know, we might need someday.

A Politico report detailed some of the contents of the aid package and noted that the equipment would likely be used in a long-rumored, upcoming "counteroffensive" against Russia, led by Ukraine.

Breitbart noted of the report:

The publication claims that the weapons will likely aid in the Ukrainian counterattack on Russian positions in the country, adding that there are likely “months of hard fighting” ahead.

This package is being sent on top of an extra $3 billion worth of aid allocated to Ukraine earlier this month due to a so-called “accounting error".

The breakdown of the aid sent to Ukraine by the United States, so far, is mind-boggling, to say the least.

According to Breitbart, "the U.S. taxpayer has so far paid $46.6 billion in weapons shipments to Ukraine, $26.4 billion in financial aid and $2.9 billion in humanitarian help since last year’s invasion by Russia."

Social media reacts

Not surprisingly, news of the U.S. taxpayer's latest gift to Ukraine came under heavy criticism, especially with the backdrop of the debt ceiling crisis that could ultimately collapse the U.S. economy.

"We just sent another $375 million dollars to Zelenskyy? WITH A REPUBLICAN HOUSE. This is more of why I say voting Republican is the same as voting Democrat. Why are we arguing about the debt ceiling when we keep sending this Ukrainian welfare queen all of our money?" James Bradley tweeted.

That same sentiment was echoed over and over again, with many raising questions as to how such large amounts of aid can be sent regularly without Congressional approval.

The Biden administration prioritizes a foreign, former Soviet country over America, and that's a very scary situation in the making.
