Biden White House dishonestly dismiss Biden family payments from China revelations as 'lies' and 'not true'

The House Oversight Committee revealed earlier this month that it had obtained bank records which showed that multiple members of President Joe Biden's family had collectively received payments of more than $1 million from a state-owned Chinese energy firm through a third-party associate.

Yet, despite evidence of a money trail, both the president and his chief White House spokeswoman have arrogantly dismissed the revelation as "not true" and "lies" while refusing to answer legitimate questions about it, Fox News reported.

Biden said Oversight memo is "not true"

On March 16, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee issued a memo that highlighted evidence of Chinese payments to the Biden family found in the subpoenaed financial records of a former business associate of Hunter Biden, Rob Walker.

In March 2017, Walker's company received a wire transfer of $3 million from a Chinese company known as State Energy HK Limited, roughly one-third of which, around $1,065,000, was then collectively wired by Walker over a three-month period to other accounts and companies owned by Hunter Biden, the president's brother James Biden, his daughter-in-law Hallie Biden, and an unknown fourth individual identified only as "Biden."

The very next day, President Biden was asked for his reaction to the memo about his "family dealings" and how "Hunter Biden’s business associate sent over a million dollars to three of your family members. Any reaction to that?"

After first feigning ignorance about his "family dealings," Biden then replied, "That’s not true."

Jean-Pierre dismisses Oversight revelations as "inaccuracies and lies"

During Wednesday's press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, "House Oversight says they’ve got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party. What were they paid for?"

"Look, I’m -- I’m just not going to respond to that from here," Jean-Pierre said in response. "Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how -- how -- the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue."

"And I don’t even [know] where to begin to even answer that question because, again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple years. And I’m just not going to get into it from here," she added in avoidance of the direct question.

"Bank records don’t lie"

The New York Post reported that House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), in reaction to President Biden's initial denial of the Chinese money transferred to his family members, insisted in a tweet that his committee "has the receipts" and noted that "Numbers don't lie, but [Biden] apparently does," and added that it was "Time for [Jean-Pierre] to correct the record."

Except, Jean-Pierre not only did not "correct the record" but refused to even address it, which prompted Comer to tell the Post that she was the one being "dishonest" with the American people.

"Jean-Pierre claims she doesn’t know where to begin when confronted with the facts of our investigation. She can start with the bank records we obtained showing a Chinese energy company paying members of the Biden family over $1 million through an associate," the chairman said. "Bank records don’t lie."

"The fact that President Biden and his press secretary continue to be dishonest with the American people about the Biden family’s shady business schemes is alarming," he added. "The House Oversight Committee will continue to pursue answers, transparency, and accountability for the American people."

Even more damning and revealing of the dishonesty of the Biden White House is the fact that, while they refused to even address the matter, the Post noted that Hunter Biden's legal team essentially confirmed that the accounts that received transfers of the Chinese money from Walker "belonged to Hunter, his uncle, and Hallie -- nobody else," likely in reference to the unidentified fourth "Biden" recipient revealed in the subpoenaed bank records.
