Biden's family reportedly determining best way for him to drop out of 2024 race: Report

It was bound to happen at some point, but the possibility of President Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 race increased exponentially after his debate with former President Donald Trump.

It was so bad that even Biden's staunchest allies in the mainstream media and in Congress couldn't hold back as they essentially begged him to consider dropping out.

According to recent reports, it appears that the pressure has finally become too much to bear, as it appears Biden's family is currently attempting to determine the best way to bow him out of the race.

Biden's White House, strangely, keeps denying the claims, which was the case when Newsweek reached out to them for comment regarding the latest update, which came via NBC News.

What's going on?

Media outlets have dug in to determine where Biden stands on staying in the race, especially since most high-profile Democrats have already urged him to consider dropping out, including his former boss, Barack Obama.

Newsweek noted:

The president's family emphasized concerns about his health and the stability of the country, NBC News reported, citing "two people familiar with the discussions."

Not surprisingly, the report was denied by the White House. "That is not happening, period. The individuals making those claims are not speaking for his family or his team—and they will be proven wrong. Keep the faith," said White House spokesperson Andrew Bates.

Several media outlets have used their inside sources to find out where Biden and his family are on a possible decision to pull out of the 2024 race to give Democrats a shot at winning.

Embarrassingly, Biden himself has still insisted that he's the party's best chance at beating Trump, even though everyone knows that's simply not the case anymore, and anyone saying the opposite is only furthering the embarrassment for when Biden does announce his stepping out.

Multiple Democrats, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have taken the lead on drumming up support in the party to urge Biden to step down.

Pressure mounting

A recent NBC News report put the total number of high-profile Democrats calling on Biden's exit at 35 -- and growing.

"We must face the reality that widespread public concerns about your age and fitness are jeopardizing what should be a winning campaign," a group of four Democratic lawmakers said in a statement. "These perceptions may not be fair, but they have hardened in the aftermath of last month’s debate and are now unlikely to change."

The report added:

The new batch of detractors means that more than 10% of House and Senate Democrats — 35 out of 264 — are calling for Biden to exit the race. The 13 who issued statements Friday represented the largest number of Democratic detractors in a single day since the June 27 debate debacle.

Many now believe it's simply a matter of time before Biden announces his exit from the race. We'll see.
