Biden's health exam lacks mental status report

President Joe Biden passed his annual physical on Thursday but his doctor failed to comment on the president's mental fitness.

Dr. Janette Nesheiwat spoke out after the president's physical failed to release how Biden performed on the mental status exam that is a standard part of the annual physical.

Unanswered questions

"How did he do on that? What was his score? I would like to know," she said. "Physical mental emotional health are all as equally important.

"The job of the presidency is a very demanding stressful job," she added. "We must ensure our leader is physically mentally and emotionally capable, especially when it comes to, decisions, regarding life and death and the overall health, safety, and well-being of our nation."

A second opinion

Former White House doctor Ronny Jackson, who now serves as a Texas Republican congressman, also questioned Biden's health during a recent interview on "Hannity."

"What medications is he taking? Will there be a cognitive exam? If any President has needed a cognitive assessment, it’s this one!" he said.

The official letter from Biden's Dr. Kevin O'Connor said that Biden takes "three common prescription medications and two common over-the-counter medications."

O'Connor referred to Biden as "a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male," calling him fit to lead as president.

The summary did not note which medications Biden is taking, the reasons for his prescribed medications or how long they have been taken.

The annual physical is an important factor as Biden is the oldest-serving president in the nation's history. He has often been noted for his gaffes during public remarks and apparently not knowing where he is or what is happening around him.

The calls for a cognitive exam are certainly with good reasons as many Americans have questions about whether Biden is mentally fit to lead the nation and are demanding answers beyond the basic summary provided by the White House physician in his annual physical.
