Bill Clinton adds to list of excuses for why VP Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump
America is well past a month since President-elect Donald Trump destroyed Vice President Kamala Harris on Election Day, and Democrats are still in excuse-making mode.
That was evidenced once again by none other than former President Bill Clinton who, according to Fox News, has several reasons as to why he believes Harris lost so badly to Trump.
Clinton revealed that he believes Harris had an "impossible job" as far as running her campaign due to the fact that she was the only other candidate who could have legal used President Joe Biden's campaign war chest, which was a significant amount of money.
He also believes Harris was a "stranger" to the American people as another reason why she lost, even though she had been the vice president for four years.
What did he say?
Many high-profile Democrats, especially those who put their necks out for Harris in the three-month stretch that she ran for the presidency, have issued a long list of excuses as to why they believe she was beaten handily by Trump.
In a recent MSNBC interview, Clinton held nothing back as he continued to make more excuses for Harris' devastating and sweeping loss.
"Vice President Harris had an almost impossible job because she became a candidate at a time when no one else could legally access the money that had already been given to Joe Biden and there was no time to have primaries. So she was, in effect, a stranger to people," Clinton said.
The former president doubled down on his thoughts that Harris simply wasn't well-enough known to garner the support she needed on Election Day.
"The people knew what they liked about Trump and what they didn’t, and about 54% of them were, would have happily voted for somebody else, but people didn’t feel they knew about Harris," Clinton said.
He also issued a stark warning to the Democratic Party, warning that it needs to stop playing "demographic games" in order to have a shot at winning the next major election.
Bringing up the pardon
President Joe Biden's pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, is also fresh on the minds of the left and their media allies, and Clinton weighed in on it during another interview.
"I think that the president did have reason to believe that the nature of the offenses involved were likely to produce far stronger adverse consequences for his son than they would for any normal person under the same circumstances," he said.
He added, "My brother did 14 months in federal prison for something he did when he was 20, and I supported it, and he testified, told the truth about what he'd done when he had a drug problem and helped to bring down a larger enterprise. And they sentenced him, and then he served 14 months, and then he got out. The real question was, would he ever be able to vote again? Would he ever be able to have normal citizenship responsibilities?"
Perhaps Democrats should practice taking accountability and stop with the relentless excuses for everything. It's just a thought.
