A polling aggregate maintained by the website RealClearPolling shows former President Donald Trump as being 2.3 points ahead of President Joe Biden in the national popular vote.

Yet He isn't the only one to enjoy good poll numbers, as a new survey found that most Americans prefer former First Lady Melania Trump's Christmas decorations to those of her successor.

Over half of respondents prefer Mrs. Trump's decorations to those of Mrs. Biden

The poll was commissioned by the Daily Mail and carried out by J.L. Partners, which compiled images of the White House decorated by Mrs. Trump in 2020 as well as pictures of it done up this year by First Lady Jill Biden.

Importantly, the 1,000 participating individuals were not told which first lady was responsible for the scene in each photograph.

The survey found that 54% of respondents expressed a preference for Mrs. Trump's choice over those of the current first lady.

Most Democrats liked Mrs. Trump's approach

When Republicans were asked, 57% selected decorations put up by Mrs. Trump while 43% went with Mrs. Biden's decor scheme.

Interestingly, 51% of Democrats also thought Mrs. Trump's set-up was superior, a fact which did not go unnoticed by Joe Alder, senior research associate, at J.L. Partners.

Adler told the Daily Mail that "the public's verdict was clear: Melania Trump brought the finer Christmas decor to the White House."

"Remarkably, Melania showed a particularly astute sense for the tastes of her husband's political base: Republicans preferred her decorations by a margin of 15 points, with Democrats agreeing but by only one point," Adler was quoted as saying.

"Jill Biden's decorations had a stronger appeal with older Americans - the only group with whom she won out - but overall it was Melania with the touch for the nation's tastes," he added.

Jill Biden brought controversial dance group to White House

First Lady Jill Biden made headlines earlier this month when she invited the New York City-based dance troupe Dorrance Dancers to do a rendition of "The Nutcracker Suite" at the White House.

The Daily Mail reported that the move was panned by many conservatives, some of whom called it  "bizarre," "freaky," and "absolute garbage."

Meanwhile, the New York Post revealed that Dorrance Dancers' founder, Michelle Dorrance, is known for making racially charged remarks and supports defunding the police.
