Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been revealed as the source behind the account of "51 intelligence officers" who doubted the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop.
Blinken, who then served as a senior advisor to Joe Biden's presidential campaign, was noted by name as the source by former CIA Acting Director Michael Morrell in testimony to the House Judiciary Committee.

"Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Michael Turner (R-OH), chairmen of the Judiciary and Intel Committees, respectively, made the revelation on Thursday in a letter to Blinken, obtained by Breitbart News, that included portions of Morell’s testimony," the outlet reported.
"The chairmen wrote that Morell testified in the closed-door interview with the committee that Blinken’s call to Morell was 'couched as simply gathering Morrell’s reaction to the Post story' but that 'it set in motion the events that led to the issuance of the public statement,'" it added.

Morrell "testified 'yes' and 'absolutely' when asked if the call with Blinken, who was then a top adviser for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, was what 'triggered that intent in you,'" the Washington Examiner reported.
"Morell also testified that one of the two reasons he helped put the letter together was to help Joe Biden defeat former President Donald Trump," it added.

"51 former intel experts all claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop had, quote, all of the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation," Fox News host Sean Hannity said.
"They all said this with no knowledge at all whatsoever because none of them saw the laptop. Now, this is the very letter that big tech and the media mob used to discredit and censor the very true Hunter Biden laptop story only days before the 2020 presidential election," he added.
The new information could make President Biden's plans to announce his reelection campaign more difficult as the details become public about the past election.
Trump is certain to attack the report as it vindicates one of his key arguments during the last presidential campaign over the Hunter Biden laptop.
The events, now nearly three years later, will likely continue to be an important topic in the 2024 campaign among all conservative candidates as they call out the political nature of Washington's federal agencies.
