Sometimes it's hard to tell what high-profile people are like behind closed doors, but body language experts can pick up on subtle clues that others might not notice.

According to Judi James, one such expert, First Son Barron Trump may have taken on a protective role over his mother, First Lady Melania Trump, as he has matured and as his father has taken on a demanding second term as president.

"It's fascinating to see that now Barron has 'unfurled' or grown into his own tall frame and learnt to project confidence and even to begin to showboat a little in the spotlight like his father," James told the Mirror.

James noted: "He seems to have adopted the body language role of his mother's 'wingman', creating a watchful and more sociable presence at public events."

Turning the tables

Melania Trump spent the last 18 years being protective of her son, so maybe it's time for him to return the favor.

James said from what she observed, Melania does lean on Barron when her husband is not around.

James added: "Melania appears as proud as ever with her son, who is the companion in public that Trump himself can't always be when he is centre stage."

The 18-year-old was kept almost completely out of the public eye during his growing-up years to maintain his privacy and give him an attempt at a normal childhood.

Barron today

Now, he attends college at New York University, but he lives at Trump Tower instead of in a dorm room like most kids his age.

He has begun to venture out into various businesses, including real estate and cryptocurrency.

A joint real estate venture he started with friends had to be shelved for now because of dad's job as leader of the free world.

Barron was also credited with encouraging his father to do the Joe Rogan Show podcast, which led to a rare endorsement from Rogan and the support of a lot of independent voters.

He is starting to make his mark on the world while still residing in the safety of his family and home.

The world is waiting with anticipation to see what Barron will do with his bright future.
