Former President Donald Trump is no stranger to gag orders in his various legal cases.

Last week, Trump was hit with yet another gag order by Judge Juan Merchan, the judge overseeing DA Alvin Bragg's hush money case.

The partial gag order prohibits the former president from making comments about the judge, the jurors, court staff and their family members while the trial is ongoing.

However, according to JustTheNews, Bragg and his prosecutors argued that the gag order should also apply to the judge's daughter after Trump commented on her social media activity and insisted that it's proof that the judge and the court are aligned against him, at least politically.

What's happening?

The former president held nothing back in going after the judge's daughter, Loren Merchan, after it was revealed that she had an image of Trump behind bars on her X account.

"So, let me get this straight, the Judge’s daughter is allowed to post pictures of her “dream” of putting me in jail, the Manhattan D.A. is able to say whatever lies about me he wants, the Judge can violate our Laws and Constitution at every turn, but I am not allowed to talk about the attacks against me, and the Lunatics trying to destroy my life, and prevent me from winning the 2024 Presidential Election, which I am dominating?" Trump wrote.

He added, "Maybe the Judge is such a hater because his daughter makes money by working to 'Get Trump,' and when he rules against me over and over again, he is making her company, and her, richer and richer. How can this be allowed?"

It's not the first time Trump has mentioned the judge's daughter, as her work with a leftist organization has been called into question plenty of times.

The former president has also said Lauren Merchan is a "[r]abid Trump Hater, who has admitted to having conversations with her father about me.

Bragg wants more

Bragg's office insisted that the partial gag order applies to the judge's daughter, saying the "March 26 Order is properly read to protect family members of the Court."

They added, "But to avoid any doubt... this Court should now clarify or confirm that the Order protects family members of the Court, the District Attorney, and all other individuals mentioned in the Order."

Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records in Bragg's case, to which he's pleaded not guilty.

Only time will tell if the judge extends the gag order to cover his daughter.
