British actor Darren Kent passes away at 36

Fans of the television series "Game of Thrones" were recently saddened to learn that star Darren Kent passed away at the age of 36. 

According to Variety magazine, Kent's death was confirmed in a tweet on Tuesday from his talent agency as having occurred this past Friday.

Kent remembered as a "dear friend"

"It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday," Carey Dodd Associates said in a statement.

"His parents and best friend [were] by his side. Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time. RIP my friend," the company went on to add.

While no cause of death has yet been revealed, Variety noted that Kent suffered from a "a skin disorder, in addition to osteoporosis and arthritis."

Fellow British actor says Kent was "inspirational"

Born and raised in England, Kent first appeared in the 2008 horror film "Mirrors" before going on to act in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "Marshal's Law."

His most recent film role was as a reanimated corpse in and this year's "Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves."

News of Kent's passing was marked by social media posts, including from fellow British actor and "Game of Thrones" cast member Sandi Bogle.

Bogle lamented that she had lost her father on the same day Kent had died, calling both of them "amazing, incredible, inspirational, wonderful people."

"Life won’t be the same without you"

Director and screenwriter Jane Gull spoke up as well, tweeting, "What a privilege it was to be your friend and to work together on so many projects over the years."

"Life won’t be the same without you," Gull went on to complain, adding, "I will miss you so much. RIP darling Darren Kent."
