Former President Bill Clinton regrets ever having met convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. 

Clinton confesses to this regret, according to the Daily Mail, in his new book, which is titled Citizen: My Life After the White House. 

The Amazon billing states:

The book is not set to be released until Nov. 19, 2024, but some have gotten a sneak peek of it, including The Sun.

Per the outlet:

Clinton admits in the book that he flew on Epstein’s private jet in 2002 and 2003. He claims Epstein offered the use of his plane in support of Clinton’s foundation and they spoke about economics and politics.  After that, Clinton says the pair had only two “brief” meetings, in Clinton’s office in Harlem and Epstein’s New York home.

Clinton, though, continues to deny any further connections to Epstein's darker side.

"[Clinton] dismisses allegations that he ever visited Little Saint James, Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands," the Sun reports.

The outlet goes on to quote Clinton as writing:

I had always thought Epstein was odd but had no inkling of the crimes he was committing. He hurt a lot of people, but I knew nothing about it, and by the time he was first arrested in 2005, I had stopped contact with him. I’ve never visited his island . . . The bottom line is, even though it allowed me to visit the work of my foundation, traveling on Epstein’s plane was not worth the years of questioning afterward.

Background

The New York Post provides more details about the alleged connection between Clinton and Epstein. Per the outlet:

In 2019, a Clinton spokesperson also acknowledged the ex-president flew on the Lolita Express in 2002 and 2003, according to The US Sun. The spokesperson said Clinton took four trips on Epstein’s private plane — once to Europe, once to Asia, and twice to Africa.

It continues:

Following one of those trips, Clinton was pictured receiving a backrub from Chauntae Davies, an Epstein accuser who worked as a flight attendant on the Lolita Express. Davies had previously said she gave Clinton the massage during a layover en route to Africa for a humanitarian trip.

Despite Clinton's denial about further involvement, there is good reason to believe that he might not be completely forthright about all of this.

"Clinton’s denial of ever having stepped foot on Little Saint James Island, where Epstein is accused of holding underage sex parties, contradicts bombshell allegations from Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre," the Post reports.
