Cocaine pictures released from incident in White House

 November 14, 2023

Pictures of cocaine found early this year inside the White House have been released.

The images were released following a Freedom of Information Act request by Daily Mail.

The situation

"The Biden family, including first son Hunter Biden, were away at Camp David for the Fourth of July holiday when the substance was found," the Washington Examiner reported.

"Though no evidence has emerged directly implicating him, critics pointed to Hunter Biden's documented drug troubles in previous years as possibly implicating him in the situation," it added.

The trouble

"The Secret Service had reportedly told President Biden that a suspect had been identified, but the name of the suspect was never made public," Red State reported.

"The cocaine was discovered on July 2, while most of the Biden family was celebrating Independence Day at Camp David. The discovery prompted the evacuation of the West Wing and nearby street closures; an investigation ensued, but was ultimately closed without any public resolution," it continued.

The evidence

"The Secret Service included images of the bag of white powder that was found in a cubby hole used to store personal belongings near the White House's West Executive entrance in response to a Freedom of Information Act request," the Daily Mail reported alongside the images.

"Cocaine was found in locker No. 50 on Sunday, July 2 while the Biden family - including son Hunter - was spending the weekend away at Camp David ahead of the Fourth of July holiday," it noted.

Despite the physical evidence, images, video surveillance and other security measures, no person was identified in the incident.

The new information concerning the images will likely lead to calls for more details regarding the investigation. The news also comes as Hunter Biden was subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee regarding his role in alleged business deals with his father during Biden's years as vice president.

The Secret Service has been quiet concerning the details in the matter but additional public pressure may lead to further evidence concerning the shocking find from last summer.
