Colin Kaepernick attacks Kevin McCarthy over Twitter

Colin Kaepernick took a break from complaining about imaginary "white supremacy" to take a shot at Kevin McCarthy (R-Ca.) on Twitter.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who has not played football in seven years, inserted himself into an exchange between McCarthy and California's uber progressive governor Gavin Newsom (D).

The governor attempted to blame McCarthy for crime in California, which is effectively a one-party state managed by Democrats.

Kaepernick intervened by tweeting a reference to his Hulu "documentary" about an alleged police violence epidemic in Bakersfield, which McCarthy represents.

Kaepernick whines

The back-and-forth began with McCarthy knocking Newsom for proposing a new constitutional amendment to curtail the Second Amendment, which enshrines the natural right to self-defense.

Rumors are swirling about Newsom's presidential ambitions as the governor makes an aggressive foray into national politics.

“Hey Governor Newsom, The 2nd Amendment already exists — we don’t need a 28th,” McCarthy tweeted. “But what we do need is for Presidential aspirants to stop pushing their extreme positions nationally.”

Newsom, apparently forgetting that McCarthy is a federal official, accused McCarthy of failing to address crime in the state Newsom runs.

"What we need is you to own up to the fact that you represent a district with the highest murder rate in our state – and you’re doing nothing to address it," Newsom tweeted.

Deflection

Under Newsom, California is doubling down on soft-on-crime policy and toying with slavery reparations, both priorities of Black Lives Matter, which Kaepernick supports.

Newsom has sought to redirect scrutiny of his state's sharply declining quality of life, which is driving people to leave in droves, by pointing the finger at red states.

Kaepernick's "documentary," which is targeted directly at McCarthy, appears to be another cheap exercise in deflection from the left's lawless agenda.

While regular people deal with the mess Democrats create daily, privileged elites like multi-millionaire Kaepernick continue to whine about fake problems. Kaepernick publicly accused his adoptive parents, who are white, of "perpetuating racism" recently.

“I know my parents loved me, but there were still very problematic things that I went through,” Kaepernick said. “It was important to show that, no, this can happen in your own home, and how we move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.”
