The more Congress pursues revelations that Hunter Biden and other family members--as many as nine all together--allegedly got payouts from foreign businesses and governments that likely capitalized on Joe Biden's status as Vice-President at the time, the more evidence of corruption they report finding.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said Sunday on Fox News that the Biden family is "in a pickle" over its foreign business dealings, which are now being discovered by Congress.

"We now have nine--and counting--Biden family members who were zinged by at least one bank for receiving suspicious wires from our adversaries around the world," Comer told Maria Bartiromo, referring to suspicious activity reports (SARs) received by the committee.

Comer clarified that the money was sent to limited liability companies (LLCs) created by Biden family members and that they have found well over a dozen such companies related to the payments.

"It just doesn't make sense"

"What were these family members doing to receive this money?" Comer asked. "It just doesn't make sense."

Comer said there are at least six different decisions the committee suspects Biden may have made as vice president and president that the committee thinks are related to the payouts. He also said the family members "went to great lengths" to disguise the LLCs and payments they received.

The investigation has gone beyond a Hunter Biden indictment, he further said, because the other eight family members were doing the same things that Hunter Biden was doing in regard to receiving payouts.

Comer believes there will be at least 12 family members involved by the time the investigation is complete.

"Biden family influence peddling operation"

He characterized the goings-on as "the Biden family influence peddling operation."

Addressing the contention of some that the Biden family members were involved in businesses, Comer said, "I haven't found a legitimate business on the Biden end."

"That's called being a foreign agent," he said, "and they weren't registered as foreign agents." He added that their proximity to the vice president, then the president would have prevented them from being able to register as foreign agents, in any case.

Laws were broken

He said he was sure that laws were broken by Biden family members.

"They're in a pickle here, especially with the IRS whistleblower," Comer concluded.

Last week, an IRS whistleblower said that Biden appointees were blocking any charges against Hunter Biden, and later reports said that Attorney General Merrick Garland was involved in the blocking.
