Conservatives attack leaks about Tucker Carlson

Conservatives are coming out in support of Tucker Carlson as he faces accusations of leaks from Fox News that showed him offering critical remarks against his former network.

The response comes as Fox News parted ways with Carlson last week in a move that shocked the news media.

The leak

“I know, but we’re doing our part. We’re like working like animals to produce all this content, and the people in charge of it, whoever that guy’s, whatever his name is, like, they’re ignoring the fact that the site doesn’t work,” Carlson said in the leaked footage.

Carlson would go on to say the streaming service "sucked" in his criticisms of the effort.

Carlson's video

Carlson released an online video shortly after his release from Fox News that has since reached over 80 million views.

“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful,” he said, concluding, “True things prevail.”

“Where can you still find Americans saying true things? There aren’t many places left, but there are some, and that’s enough. As long as you can hear the words there is hope. See you soon,” he added.

"Many people announced on Monday that they had canceled their subscription to the Fox Nation streaming service," the Blaze reported.

"I just cancelled my Fox Nation subscription with the note: 'No Tucker Carlson, no Fox Nation subscription. Goodbye.' Who is doing the same?" Scott Morefield said in a tweet. Several other examples were shared in the report, with many noting they only had the service for Carlson's programs.

Fox News received more bad news after Carlson's departure. Within a week, viewership during his former time slot dropped drastically, leaving the network scrambling for a response.

The plan includes a temporary response for now at Fox decides who will fill the slot long-term.

The accusation against Carlson, however, has largely backfired, with the popular host continuing to stand strong as he seeks to rebound and launch the next phase in his post-Fox effort.
