The Washington D.C. shooting that rocked the nation this week is especially horrifying, given that the alleged shooter, an Afghan refugee who worked with the CIA and U.S. troops in Afghanistan, came here thanks to former President Joe Biden.

According to The Sun, Suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, came to the United States in September 2021 under a program launched by Joe Biden to bring over Afghans who had worked with U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

The suspect's involvement was "as a member of a partner force in Kandahar, which ended shortly following the chaotic evacuation," according to CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

The program under Biden was slammed by Trump officials as it allowed unvetted Afghans to come into the United States, which clearly isn't working out very well.

What's going on?

"The Biden administration justified bringing the alleged shooter to the United States in September 2021 due to his prior work with the US government, including the CIA," Ratcliffe said.

He added, "The individual – and so many others – should have never been allowed to come here."

President Trump slammed the former administration over that program and all of the policies under Biden that allowed so many foreigners, including illegals, into the United States.

The outlet noted:

President Donald Trump had earlier framed the shooting as an “act of terror” and said the attack “underscores the single greatest national security threat facing our nation.”

Ratcliffe told Fox News Digital:

"In the wake of the disastrous Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration justified bringing the alleged shooter to the United States in September 2021 due to his prior work with the U.S. government, including CIA, as a member of a partner force in Kandahar, which ended shortly following the chaotic evacuation."

After the news of the shooting, Trump vowed to go extra hard in his continued mission to deport those who shouldn't be here in the first place.

Trump's response

Top Trump officials are now looking at the shooting, which resulted in two National Guard members being critically wounded, with one dying, as an act of terror.

"The hearts of all Americans tonight are with those two members of the West Virginia National Guard and their families," Trump said.

He added, "The love of our entire country is pouring out for them, and we are lifting them up in our prayers as we are filled with anguish and grief for those who were shot, we're also filled with righteous anger and ferocious resolve. As President of the United States, I am determined to ensure that the animal who perpetrated this atrocity pays the steepest possible price."

Hopefully, this is the last attack of its kind, though unfortunately, that's probably not realistic given how many bad guys Biden let in.
