Dem Delegate Stacey Plaskett, who had a relationship with Epstein, was victim of 'revenge porn'
There's been quite the plot twist for Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett, the Virgin Islands’ non-voting member of Congress, who recently dominated the headlines due to revelations that she once seemingly took direction from Jeffrey Epstein during an explosive House hearing.
According to the Daily Wire, former staffers of the Democrat delegate reportedly stole nude images from her cell phone and later used them to sabotage her campaign, raising all sorts of new questions as to what was on her phone.
Notably, the husband of one of the staffers who had her nude images from the phone wound up dead, not unlike Epstein.
Plaskett made the mistake of asking a former staffer in 2016 to take a look at her cell phone to fix it. It was at that point the former staffer found plenty of dirt on her and ultimately attempted to use it against her.
What's going on?
It was staffer Juan R. McCullum who received her phone first in an attempt to fix it, but wound up finding a trove of indecent images that he would try to leverage against her, including through another staffer.
Court papers show that McCullum found nude images, including "one of her husband naked and wearing makeup while their young child was in the room."
McCullum had ultimately sent the images to media outlets and other politicians. He even created a fake Facebook account and posted them publicly.
The police eventually traced the account back to McCullum, "and found that he had communicated with another former Plaskett staffer, Dorene Browne-Louis, who had gone on to work for the Department of Homeland Security."
In an email to Browne-Louis, he wrote, "Somebody will pay for how we were treated."
Clearly, the two had it out for the Democratic delegate, as they seemed to be set on plotting their revenge play using the images.
The Daily Wire noted:
Browne-Louis “made numerous false and misleading statements about her knowledge of McCullum’s activities,” and falsely denied deleting relevant text messages, prosecutors said. She later testified before a federal grand jury and provided false statements, including that she “did not know that McCullum wanted to seek revenge against Delegate S.P.,” court papers said.
Indictments
Both former staffers were ultimately indicted and pleaded guilty to the charges.
In a victim statement to the court, Plaskett wrote at the time that "our family’s privacy was invaded, pillaged and we were basically raped by Juan McCullum and Dorene Browne-Louis… Why, because I was mean? I demanded a lot, I demand most of myself."
McCullum was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, and Browne-Louis was not given prison time due to her husband being murdered.
