When cocaine was found in the White House during former President Joe Biden's term, most of the liberal mainstream media worked overtime to sweep the story under the proverbial rug.

According to Fox News, the FBI has reopened an investigation into the matter, and someone may ultimately have to answer for the drug discovery.

Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed that the agency would be taking a fresh look at the situation, which defintley didn't get as much attention as it should have back then.

It's one of many cases and investigations getting a fresh look with new leadership running the Bureau.

What's going on?

Deputy Director Bongino confirmed the new look at the cocaine investigation in an X post.

"Shortly after swearing in, the Director and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest. We made the decision to either re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention, to these cases," Bongino wrote.

He noted that there are several other cases that will be looked at.

"These cases are the DC pipe bombing investigation, the cocaine discovery at the prior administration’s White House, and the leak of the Supreme Court Dobbs case. I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress. If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us, then please contact the FBI."

When President Donald Trump was asked about the cocaine situation, he suggested that either "Joe or Hunter" left it behind.

Fox News noted:

"So … who actually left the cocaine in the White House?" The Spectator's Ben Domenech asked Trump.

"Well, either Joe or Hunter," Trump responded. "Could be Joe, too."

Inconclusive

The Secret Service discovered the baggie of cocaine in July of 2023, "in a storage locker near the entrance to the White House's West Wing.

Not surprisingly, the result of the investigation was "inconclusive," though many suggested the most likely suspect would have been Hunter Biden, given his past addiction issues.

Fox News added:

Hunter Biden has a long and well-documented history with substance abuse, and he detailed his hourly need for crack cocaine in his 2021 memoir, "Beautiful Things." He has since gone through recovery efforts and has been sober since 2019, according to sworn testimony in federal court in 2023.

Only time will tell if Bongino and the FBI get to the bottom of the issue.
