Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle are officially over. 

Not only that, but it also appears that Don Jr. has already moved on to a new woman, the Daily Mail reports.

This is where things could get a bit awkward, as President-Elect Trump has chosen Guilfoyle to be the U.S. Ambassador to Greece, and she has accepted the opportunity.

Many are left wondering, now, what exactly has happened.

Speculation explodes

The Daily Mail has published a separate report detailing the "real reason" why Don Jr. broke up with Guilfoyle. Thus far, this does appear to be what happened: he left her.

Per the outlet:

There were already signs of tension back in March, say insiders, when Guilfoyle invited hundreds of guests to her 55th birthday party at their home in Jupiter, Florida. Don Jr, it's been claimed, was nowhere to be seen for parts of the evening, apparently retreating to his bedroom.

In other words, to insiders, it appears that this breakup was some time in the coming.

The outlet goes on to report:

Others suggest Don Jr has found himself increasingly embarrassed by Guilfoyle's little-left-to-the-imagination wardrobe, colorful public displays, and her taste for a party lifestyle that might sit awkwardly with a Trump family increasingly mindful of its presidential legacy.

It has to be emphasized, though, that, at the moment, this is all just speculation. Trump and Guilfoyle are keeping quiet about the situation.

The new woman

In yet another report, the Daily Mail reveals that Don Jr. appears to have already hooked up with another woman, much to the surprise of Guilfoyle.

Per the outlet:

Donald Trump Jr. is proudly flaunting his new relationship with Bettina Anderson amid news he has split with fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, insiders tell DailyMail.com. The president-elect's eldest son reportedly hard-launched his new girlfriend at dinner at his father's Mar-a-Lago club Wednesday night where the two were seen 'parading their love for all to see.'

The Daily Mail goes on to describe the new couple as "clearly in love," citing sources.

"Sources described the couple as 'clearly in love' and revealed the pair didn't try to hide it as 'they laughed and whispered to each other in the buffet line,'" the outlet reports.

Despite all of this, Guilfoyle is still going to be President-Elect Trump's ambassador to Greece. She has accepted the role, and Don Jr., just recently, congratulated her on the position. So, maybe, this is going to be an amicable split, but time will tell.
