Donald Trump Jr. spoke out against the boycott of Bud Light and parent company Anheuser-Busch.

Trump Jr. shared the remarks during a podcast this week over the beer company's controversy involving transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

The comments

"So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh*t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this," Trump Jr. said during his "Triggered with Donald Trump Jr." podcast.

"When I actually look into it, I'm not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell," he added.

The motivation

“Last cycle their employees and their PAC gave about 60 percent to Republicans and 40 percent to Democrats," Trump Jr. highlighted.

"That’s literally almost unheard of in corporate America, where it’s really easy to go woke, where they do so constantly, where there’s a consequence to actually being a conservative. So 60/40 to the conservative side is kind of a big deal," he continued.

"It's interesting that he's going to bat for the beer company, because they've actually taken a somewhat significant hit in the wake of all this," TMZ reported.

The outlet added "reports suggest their market cap has fallen by as much as $5 billion in recent weeks ... although it's hard to say why exactly."

The boycott, led in part by musical artists like Kid Rock and John Rich, is an attempt to fight back by hurting the beer company's profits.

Trump Jr.'s response looks like an attempt to stop the Anheuser-Busch's money loss because they are giving more money to Republicans than to Democrats, with donations going to both House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

The argument doesn't hold up when looking at the big picture. The beer company chose the policies of the left and should not be defended by those who claim to care about the conservative principles of America.
