Former President Donald Trump's critics are working overtime to create the illusion of drama between the former president and his wife, Melania Trump.

Recently, the former president released a touching video montage of him and his wife looking extremely happy together in an attempt to shut down his legion of haters.

The montage was released in the wake of photos that were recently published that highlighted Melania Trump's facial expressions at a Palm Beach fundraising event.

Mr. Trump shared the romantic video montage on his Truth Social account this week.

What's going on?

Some of the former president's critics said that Melania looked sour in the pictures taken at the Palm Beach fundraiser -- a fundraiser that hauled in an astonishing amount of money to the tune of $50 million+.

The fundraiser was held at the home of billionaire investor John Paulson, and the guest list included some of the wealthiest people in the nation.

"We're going to make America great again; everyone knows it," Trump said after arriving at the fundraiser.

He told reporters that the fundraiser had been an "incredible evening before it even started," adding that he believes donors wanted to "contribute to a cause of making America great again."

Some of the video and still footage taken of Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, showed the former first lady not looking extremely happy. It was clearly no indication of marriage troubles or that she didn't want to be there, but his critics attempted to paint an ugly picture that way. Trump shut that down with his video montage.

Social media reacts

Many across social media praised the former president for the heartwarming video and the accompanying music.

"I love it I can't stop watching it,watched it ten times already tears rolling down my face like a blubbering ,here Mrs Trump beautiful Melania needs our prayers now, she is strong bless her with the trial coming up the mainstream media going to have talking points going all day," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "We've seen firsthand the love and devotion between these two."

Many also speculated that the former first lady's appearance at the fundraiser might be a signal that she's ready to join her husband on the campaign trail, which Mr. Trump has promised to his supporters and the media. Only time will tell.
