Jill Biden was already facing questions about her role in covering up her husband's cognitive decline. The cancer news only raises more doubts about what she knew.

According to Biden's office, his last prostate cancer screening was in 2014.

Many find it hard to believe that doctors did not catch Joe Biden's aggressive prostate cancer sooner. Some have questioned if tests were deliberately skipped, or else kept hidden from the public.

Biden's White House physician, Kevin O'Connor, certified that he was "fit for duty" last year.

While Biden's doctor comes under scrutiny, some have accused Jill of concealing her husband's health problems even as she encouraged him to pursue a doomed re-election effort.

A Trump Justice Department official, Leo Terrell, accused Jill Biden of "elder abuse" in a post on X that suggested criminal charges might be appropriate.

Elder abuse charges

Jill was one of the biggest cheerleaders for her husband's 2024 campaign, even after his infamous debate performance on CNN sent his presidency into a tailspin.

Joe Biden was notoriously stubborn about dropping out, only relenting after weeks of pressure from his own Democratic party and a humiliating interview in which he insisted he did not need a cognitive test.

It isn't just Trump supporters who see Jill as a villain, as Democrats turn to blaming Joe Biden and relatives who encouraged him to stay in the race.

Washington Post columnist Sally Quinn called Jill an abuser who pushed her husband far beyond his limits.

"I blame Jill Biden for this. Jill Biden is his wife. And if Jill Biden had stood up and gone to him and said, ‘Joe, you can’t do it’… He wouldn’t have run," Quinn told Palmeri. "She clearly was in favor of his running and I just think it was a terrible disservice to the country," Quinn said on the Tara Palmieri Show.

"She wasn't protecting him… I thought it was elder abuse, really," she added.

No matter how you slice it, this is a major political scandal implicating not just Biden's family, but members of the media who failed to hold them accountable.
