Elon Musk has quickly become close with the Trump family, and even spent Thanksgiving at President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

At the swanky, high-profile Thanksgiving feast, which included Musk's mother as a guest, reports revealed what Musk spoke to Barron Trump about during the dinner at the luxury resort. 

Some of the videos that emerged from the Mar-a-Lago Thanksgiving dinner showed Musk sitting with and chatting with the president-elect and his family.

While several video clips of the dinner went viral and invited humourous takes and even mockery, Musk responded to one of them on his X account, confirming what the conversation he had with Barron Trump was about.

What did he say?

One of the screenshots of the video showed President-elect Trump sitting next to and speaking with his son, Barron Trump. The caption accompanying the photo was meant to be funny.

Musk responded to that particular post, writing in his reply, "I was discussing consciousness & video games with Barron."

Even Musk's mother weighed in on her conversation with Barron Trump, writing, "They were talking all night. Barron is very smart."

The Musk family presence at Mr Trump's Thanksgiving celebration added a special touch to the family gathering, which also featured a moment when Mr Musk was seen grooving to the 'YMCA' song while seated alongside the president-elect. The clip captured Mr Trump playfully tapping Mr Musk on the shoulder, prompting the billionaire to raise his hand and move to the beat.

Social media reacts

Users across social media, and especially fans of Musk, Donald Trump and Barron Trump, weighed in on the video clips and photos released from the Thanksgiving dinner.

"I just can't believe that we skipped right past a possible civil war into a probable golden era of America. And we're watching it all live on X," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I feel as Barron is going to be a very successful man in the future. Possibly even president. Keep pushing friends. Everything’s looking so much better now than it did last month."

Many are optimistic about Musk working closely with Trump and his family. The future definitely looks brighter than it did a year ago.
