In a smoking gun moment, Fox News reported this week that it has obtained emails showing a business associate of Hunter Biden made multiple White House visits and met with his then-vice president father.

The network identified Nicolas Rohatyn as being both a donor to Joe Biden as well as a client of Hunter's now-defunct Rosemont Seneca Partners, which was managing Rohatyn's hedge fund account.

Business associate invited to White House event

Ties between Rohatyn and Hunter Biden were evident when Rohatyn was invited to attend a Mexico State Dinner at the White House on May 19, 2010.

Rosemont Seneca Partners president Eric Schwerin sent an email to Hunter Biden in which he discussed the possibility of bringing Rohatyn while.

The email also referenced then vice presidential assistant and current White House cabinet secretary Evan Ryan. Ryan is married to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

"Can we invite Nick Rohatyn to the Mexico Lunch? Evan said we may have some spots. Thoughts?" Schwerin wrote. Hunter Biden responded, "Yes."

"I enjoyed my brief visit with your father"

Fox News noted that it remains unclear as to whether or not Rohatyn actually attended the event. The network also pointed out that Schwerin sought to invite Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, someone who was seeking to do business with Hunter Biden.

What is known is that Rohatyn went to the White House on September 16, 2010, with visitor logs showing that he met with then-Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers.

However, Rohatyn subsequently sent an email to Hunter Biden in which he said, "I enjoyed my brief visit with your father – very cool guy."

White House records show Rohatyn made three additional visits to the White House, two of which involved meetings with Summers.

What's more, Rohatyn was listed as being among the attendees at "Alvin Ailey Reception" which was held at the vice president's residence on February 1, 2010.

Bank records show Biden family received over $10 million from foreign sources

Those revelations came a day before Fox News reported that the House Oversight announced that it obtained bank records showing Biden family members took in more than $10 million from foreign nationals via a network of 20 companies.

This included individuals "with significant ties to Chinese intelligence and the Chinese Communist Party" who "hid the source of the funds by layering domestic limited liability companies."

"These complicated and seemingly unnecessary financial transactions appear to be a concerted effort to conceal the source and total amount received from the foreign companies," the committee stressed.
