Barron Trump, now 18, has been a subject of fascination by both supporters of President Donald Trump and the anti-Trump media and haters given his deep and effective involvement in his father's presidential campaign.

That fascination led to a series of viral videos showing Barron Trump singing -- but they were all generated by AI.

According to Newsweek, those videos were removed in recent days.

The videos typically depicted Barron Trump nailing an audition on one of the big network talent shows, such as "America's Got Talent," "American Idol," and "The Voice."

Videos removed

The videos, which still have unclear origins or intentions other than possibly being filed as "fan art," were taken down after, in some cases, amassing millions of views.

Newsweek noted:

One video, titled: "America's Got Talent Live Barron Trump – With Jesus Love America Great Again AI Cover," has been viewed almost 300,000 times over a 12-day period.

The outlet added:

Another video, which shows Barron Trump singing with an acoustic guitar titled, "How Great Thou Art (Barron Trump Singing Imagined)" posted by the account MAGA Songs, has been viewed 882,000 times over a four-week period. A similar video from the account Barron Trump Fan Clubs, depicts Barron Trump singing "Grateful to You Lord," and has been viewed 474,000 times as of reporting.

The problem with such videos, even as some of them were labeled as "AI generated," is that too many people still believe they're authentic.

Such videos also rack up impressive revenue-sharing numbers, as users who have monetized video privileges can make mountains of cash from videos that go viral and amass so many views.

Some of the viral videos even depicted President Trump joining in with his son on the guitars or the drums.

Positive reactions

The videos don't appear to be negative or attacks on Barron Trump, and the reactions are mostly positive.

It's likely that the creators of the videos were simply capitalizing on Barron Trump's extreme popularity and attempting to profit from it.

As amazingly realistic as they often are, AI-generated videos and images are becoming a massive problem, as millions of people still don't understand that they're fake.

Only time will tell how the technology ultimately affects our daily lives.
