FBI agents have raided the office of a Texas sheriff who is also the brother of a Democratic congressman.
According to the Laredo Morning Times, federal agents were observed at the Webb County Sheriff's Office on Monday morning.
The FBI confirmed that its agents had been present at the facility, telling the paper they were "conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity."
Meanwhile, Breitbart noted that the FBI conducted a second raid in Webb County, this time at offices belonging to the United Independent School District in Laredo.
It cited a statement from the school district as saying that the law enforcement operation connected to Disinfect Promaster, a company owned by Web County Sheriff’s Office Assistant Chief Ricardo "Rick" Rodriguez.
The United Independent School District in Laredo's website explains that Rodriguez sits on its board, a position he has held since 2008.
Breitbart explained that Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar is the brother of Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, who was himself involved in an FBI investigation last year.
Fox News reported in January of 2o22 that FBI agents were observed at Rep. Cuellar's home, although at the time it was not clear what their objective was.
Agents are still in and around the home. Some more showed up a few moments ago.

However, it later emerged that federal authorities were looking into the dealings of some American businessmen with ties to Azerbaijan.
Cuellar's attorney told Fox News in April, "Over the last several weeks, the Justice Department, in a conversation I had with the prosecutor, let me know that Congressman Cuellar is not a target of this investigation."
"Congressman Cuellar has made clear that he did nothing wrong and he wanted to absolutely fully cooperate at all times with the Justice Department's investigation, which he has done from day one through today, and will continue to do so," the lawyer added.
Meanwhile, Breitbart recalled a 2015 incident in which a large marijuana-growing operation guarded by heavily armed drug traffickers was discovered.
Cuellar denied that the operation was linked to the Los Zetas drug cartel despite a spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council saying otherwise.
