FBI Director Christopher Wray is scheduled to speak with top Republican leaders about allegations of crimes related to President Joe Biden during his time as vice president.
Wray will meet with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

“He was given three weeks to produce a document and go into detail on what exactly they did to investigate the validity of the document," Comer said.
"But thus far, he won’t even admit that they had the document,” Comer said in an appearance on Fox News Tuesday. “[Wray] has given us the runaround for three weeks. He is just stalling.”

The meeting comes as House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) promised to bring charges against Wray for not meeting a deadline to turn over documents to Congress.
"I have a message for FBI Director Christopher Wray: If he misses today's deadline to turn over subpoenaed documents to Congress, I am prepared to move contempt charges against him," he wrote.

The FBI has so far not cooperated in turning over documents in the investigation.
“The FBI remains committed to cooperating with the Committee in good faith," the FBI said in a statement Tuesday.
"In a letter to Chairman Comer earlier today, the FBI committed to providing access to information responsive to the Committee’s subpoena in a format and setting that maintains confidentiality and protects important security interests and the integrity of FBI investigations," it added.
In addition to the alleged criminal activities related to the president, Comer has also sent a letter about investigating Biden family finances associated with China and Ukraine.
The investigation could set up problems for the president as he moves forward on his campaign for reelection in 2024. If so, it will likely give an advantage to his opponent, whether in a Trump rematch or against another GOP nominee.
