The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has failed to get voter registration problems under control, and now this might be a problem in the 2024 presidential election. 

This is according to a new report from Just the News.

The outlet, in the report, highlights two issues.

The first is the FBI's failure to handle a potential voter fraud scheme from the 2020 election. And, the second, is the FBI's failure to stop the scheme from happening again.

Per the outlet:

In the aftermath of the messy 2020 election, Michigan police sent to the FBI a strong body of evidence documenting a multi-state scheme to submit fraudulent voter applications. Three years later, nobody can explain what the bureau did with the case . . .

The question, of course, is whether the FBI merely tried to bury the case, hoping that Americans would forget about it.

We, of course, do not know why the FBI does or does not do what it does. But, if this is what the FBI was hoping to accomplish - namely, burning the issue - it has failed.

This is because, with the 2024 presidential election just days away, the same problem is happening all over again.

Is it all by design?

According to Just the News, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has uncovered what it believes to be a fraudulent voter application scheme.

Per the outlet:

In a fresh blow to Americans' confidence in elections, prosecutors in a key Pennsylvania county said Friday they had uncovered a large-scale scheme to submit fraudulent voter applications that were collected at shopping malls and other locations.

The outlet reports that "detectives have found about 60% of some 2,500 election registrations submitted in recent days to the county's election office were fraudulent."

In itself, perhaps, this does not seem as though it is that big of a problem. But, it is. Prosecutors actually believe that this is all part of "a large-scale canvassing operation for voter registrations that date back to June." Investigators have uncovered fake names, fake identifications, and fake signatures that were used to submit applications.

This question now is what can be done about this situation given the fact that the 2024 election is just days away, and the answer is probably not a whole lot. This, in turn, begs the question of why the FBI did not handle the situation when it was discovered in the last election. We'll leave that for you to answer.
