Breitbart reported that President Joe Biden's classified documents saga saw another chapter unfold this week, with federal agents searching his beach house Rehoboth, Delaware.

According to a tweet by CBS News senior White House correspondent Arden Farhi, the search was carried on Wednesday by FBI personnel.

Search said to be consensual

"A third source familiar with the investigation tells CBS News the search was planned with Biden’s attorneys and consensual," Farhi continued in a subsequent tweet, adding, "No warrant was sought for this search."

The reporter then referenced a statement from Biden's personal attorney Bob Bauer, who said, "Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware."

"Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate," Bauer continued.

Biden attorney claims that no classified documents were found

"The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today's search," he stressed.

NBC News reported that Bauer later released another statement after the search concluded at noon, saying that no classified materials were uncovered.

"Consistent with the process in Wilmington, the DOJ took for further review some materials and handwritten notes that appear to relate to his time as vice president," the lawyer declared.

However, the matter remains far from resolved, with the former head of the FBI’s New York bureau telling The Washington Times Biden has exhibited a pattern of behavior when it comes to mishandling classified documents.

Former FBI agent calls for search of Biden's University of Delaware office

Former FBI agent Lewis Schiliro insisted that federal authorities need to search Biden's office at the University of Delaware.

"If Biden brought classified documents to the Biden Penn Center and his house, you can make an inference that there are possible classified records at the University of Delaware," he said.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz agreed, tweeting, "The FBI needs to search Joe Biden’s Senate records at the University of Delaware next."
