On Thursday, longtime loyal Trump ally Kash Patel was confirmed by the Senate, and less than 24 hours later, he was sworn in as the nation's ninth director of the FBI.

Before Patel took his official oath of office, however, the new director of Indian heritage had already issued his first set of orders for the FBI and a stark warning for those who would violate the nation's laws, according to the Hindustan Times.

He informed those who would "harm America" that they would find no respite or safety anywhere, as the FBI would "hunt you down in every corner of this planet."

Patel gets immediately down to business

Following his 51-49 Senate confirmation vote on Thursday, FBI Director Patel wrote in an X post, "I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support."

"The FBI has a storied legacy -- from the 'G-Men' to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11," he continued. "The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. The politicalization of our justice system has eroded public trust -- but that ends today."

"My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops -- and rebuild trust in the FBI," Patel said. "Working alongside the dedicated men and women of the Bureau and our partners, we will rebuild an FBI the American people can be proud of."

He added, "And to those who seek to harm Americans -- consider this your warning. We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet. Mission First. America Always. Let’s get to work."

Swearing-in remarks

On Friday, according to Fox News, Patel was formally sworn in as the next FBI director by Attorney General Pam Bondi, after which he delivered brief remarks to gathered supporters, including expressing his immense gratitude to everyone who'd helped get him to his current position.

"I am living the American dream. And anyone that thinks the American dream is dead, just look right here," he said. "You're talking to a first-generation Indian kid who's about to lead the law enforcement community of the greatest nation on God's green earth. That can't happen anywhere else."

Patel further promised the lawmakers who'd backed him and simultaneously warned those who'd opposed him, "There will be accountability within the FBI and outside of the FBI, and we will do it through rigorous constitutional oversight starting this weekend."

Warnings for the media and lawbreakers

FBI Director Patel also had a message for the media, as he pointed to himself and said, "If you have a target, that target is right here. It's not the men and women at the FBI. You've written everything you possibly can about me that is fake, malicious, slanderous, and defamatory -- keep it coming, bring it on. But leave the men and women of the FBI out of it. They deserve better."

He further reiterated and elaborated upon his initial warning for lawbreakers in the national security context, as he vowed, "Anyone that wishes to do harm to our way of life and our citizens, here or abroad, will face the full wrath of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation."

"And if you seek to hide in any corner of this country, or any corner of this planet, we will put on the world's largest manhunt and we will find you, and we will decide your end state, not you," he added.
