FBI to investigate Catholic school shooting as a 'hate crime targeting Catholics'
While Democrats scream about gun control and call for national gun bans in the wake of the Catholic school shooting that happened in Minneapolis this week, FBI Director Kash Patel is busy getting to the root of what really happened.
According to Breitbart, Patel announced this week that the FBI will investigate the shooting as a hate crime, specifically one targeting Catholics.
The shooter, identified by police as "Robin" Westman. The shooter changed their name to Robin from "Robert" when they were 17 years of age -- a move signed off on by their mother.
Westman, reported by multiple outlets to be a transgender, reportedly used a pistol, rifle and shotgun to commit the tragedy, which claimed the lives of two children and injured over a dozen more.
What's going on?
Director Patel made it crystal clear in an X post that the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting will be handled and investigated as "domestic terrorism" and as a "hate crime targeting Catholics."

Breitbart reported:
Breitbart News reported that the alleged shooter changed his name from “Robert” to “Robin” at 17 years of age. FOX News correspondent Brook Taylor reported that his mother signed off on the suspected shooter’s name change from “Robert” to “Robin.”
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara described the fatal shooting as a "deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshipping."
Police reportedly found a trove of disturbing writings and notes from the shooter that presumably helped the FBI determine what type of investigation would take place.
Many on social media pointed to the news that Westman was transgender and specficially targeted Catholics.
Social media reacts
Many across social media had plenty to say about the shooter and why they likely did what they did.
"The guy literally wrote in his manifest that he was 'not well.' At what point do we acknowledge transgenderism is a mental illness?" one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "We need to start tracking transgender violent crime. I believe the numbers will be crazy high."
It'll be interesting to see what else comes of the investigation and what actions the FBI and the Trump administration will take as as result of the findings.
