President Donald Trump and his administration are taking a metaphorical wrecking ball to much of the U.S. government, which is a massive promise fulfilled by the president.

However, Trump and his people are running into an unexpected resistance force -- the federal judiciary. Federal judges, mostly those appointed by Democrats in the past, are working overtime to stop Trump in his tracks.

According to Fox News, the latest example of federal judges intervening to stop Trump's executive actions involves several web pages that were removed from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The judge ordered the Trump administration to restore the pages.

What's going on?

The web pages were taken down as a part of an executive order signed by the president when he entered office in January.

Fox News noted:

Under U.S. District Judge John Bates’ order, HHS, the CDC and the FDA are required to restore data sets and pages that were "removed or substantially modified" last month "without adequate notice or reasoned explanation."

A group of doctors and various organizations that included Doctors for America, represented by Public Citizen Litigation Group, "filed a lawsuit against the Office of Personal Management (OPM), the CDC, the FDA and HHS," Fox reported.

Webpages needed by doctors

They claimed that the information contained on those web pages was used by doctors for research purposes.

Dr. Reshma Ramachandran, a member of the board of directors for Doctors for America, released a statement arguing why the pages needed to be restored immediately.

"Removing critical clinical information and datasets from the websites of CDC, FDA, and HHS not only puts the health of our patients at risk, but also endangers research that improves the health and health care of the American public," the statement read.

It added, "Federal public health agencies must reinstate these resources in full to protect our patients."

Social media weighs in

Users across social media blasted the judge who ordered the Trump administration to restore the pages.

One X user wrote, "We need to see his background. I wonder what that would uncover."
