Federal law enforcement tipped off about D.C. threat amid Trump's crime crackdown
Federal law enforcement officials were recently tipped off about a potential attack on law enforcement officers in the nation's capital, Just the News reports.
This all comes amid President Donald Trump's attempt to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C.
It, in fact, is much more than an attempt. As we will see, Trump has already seen significant success.
President Trump’s crackdown on DC crime is WORKING.
Violent crime is DOWN 25%
Democrats should set aside their foolish pride, STOP DEFENDING CRIMINALS, and work with President Trump to put the safety of the American people FIRST. pic.twitter.com/vbDblbzzkN

The threats
Federal officials were warned about the threats on Thursday.
Just the News reports:
Federal law enforcement officials on Thursday were notified about a potential attack on law enforcement officers in Washington, D.C. from a group hoping to get detainees in the district released, Just The News has learned. A federal source shared the notification with Just The News, which claimed the attack could occur as early as Friday and that the suspected group, identified as the "FLARE Coalition," was located outside of Union Station and Columbus Circle.
It is unclear, at the time of this writing, whether any attack has been carried out, or attempted.
Just the News goes on to reveal that FLARE "allegedly intends to immobilize federal vehicles by slashing tires, breaking windows, assaulting law enforcement officers, such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials, with fireworks and homemade explosives, and using chemical weapons to 'neutralize federal agents and take duty weapons.'"
This is the group's way of responding to Trump's attempt to crack down on crime in D.C.
Significant progress has been made
The Trump administration has revealed that significant progress has already been made in its attempt to crack down on crime in D.C.
Fox News reports:
President Donald Trump’s D.C. crime crackdown has led to 1,914 arrests since Aug. 7, including dozens Thursday night. Among them was an illegal immigrant on a terrorist watch list and a person of interest tied to a gun found abandoned on school property, Fox News Digital has learned.
One can easily find, in an internet search, news articles of local providers praising for Trump for making D.C. a safe place.
To the surprise of many, some of that praise even came from Mayor Muriel Bowser, who is no fan of Trump.
It is hard to believe that anyone would be against an attempt to make neighborhoods safe for law-abiding citizens, but that is where we are at in this country.
