Tiffany Trump is President Donald Trump's youngest daughter, and she publicly announced the sex of her baby at a shower last week.

Yet although the event included many other members of the Trump family, First Lady Melania Trump was noted for her absence.

Tiffany: "Such a special day celebrating our very soon to be son"

According to the Daily Mail, the baby shower's attendees included Ivanka Trump and Lara Trump along with Bettina Anderson, who is dating Donald Trump Jr.

For her part, Tiffany put up a social media post in which she credited her elder sister Ivanka "for planning the most beautiful baby shower."

"Such a special day celebrating our very soon to be son," the 31-year-old declared before adding that there is only "one month to go" before her due date.

The Daily Mail noted how Tiffany included a picture of herself wearing "a stunning powder blue dress with short sleeves, which featured embellishments on the bust."

The event was held at the Palm Beach, Florida which Tiffany shares with her husband Michael Boulos and incorporated a Peter Rabbit theme.

Mrs. Trump spent the day in New York with her son

However, the Daily Mail pointed out how instead of going to the baby shower, the first lady instead opted to spend the day in New York City at Trump Tower.

There she spent the day visiting with her son, Barron Trump, who is finishing his first year at New York University's Stern School of Business.

Source was quoted as telling People magazine it wasn't "surprising" for Mrs. Trump to be absent as the first lady "has her own schedule, even on weekends."

Controversy over Tiffany's baby shower wasn't the only reason that Mrs. Trump has made headlines this month, as she also played a role in the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Awards.

First lady cites "love as a source of strength"

Fox News reported that the ceremony highlights women who have "bravely stood up for many of the values we cherish here in the United States."

"Throughout my life, I have harnessed the power of love as a source of strength during challenging times," the first lady was quoted as saying. "Love has inspired me to embrace forgiveness, nurture empathy, and exhibit bravery in the face of unforeseen obstacles."
