Former Biden spokesperson admits he only met with Biden a handful of times

Many within former President Joe Biden's orbit blatantly lied about his cognitive and physical health, and now, as Congress digs in, the truth is slowly coming to light.

According to Fox News, a former Biden spokesperson admitted during a hearing this week before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that he had only met with Biden in person a few times.

That was an important admission because the spokesperson in question, Ian Sams, had suggested that he met with Biden all the time and noted that Biden was "sharp" every single day.

In other words, like most others in Biden's circle and extended orbit, Sams lied at the time in a clear attempt to cover up just how bad Biden's cognitive and physical health was becoming.

What's going on?

"When I deal with him, he is sharp, he is asking tough questions, that’s the President Biden that so many of us experience every single day," Sams said during a July, 2024 interview on MSNBC.

Except, Sams didn't "experience" Biden "every single day." In fact, he admitted this week that he only met with the former president, in person, two times.

The other handful of times he interacted with Biden was on a teleconference or an online meeting. Sams, like his colleagues at the time, had clearly been instructed to gaslight the American public, and Congress, regarding Biden's deteriorating condition.

Fox News noted:

Sams worked in the White House from 2022 to 2024, serving in the roles of special assistant to the president, spokesperson and senior advisor in the White House Counsel’s Office.

"Ian Sams, one of Joe Biden's spokespersons, met with him only TWICE in over TWO YEARS. Then he would go on live television and say he interacted with him EVERY SINGLE DAY," the House Oversight Committee posted on its X account.

The committee added, "He was LYING to the American people to cover up for Biden's decline."

Social media reacts

Users across social media weighed in on Sams' admission.

"Anything he supposedly signed into law should be removed," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Republicans stood by and watched it all unfold for four years and did nothing."
