The political cesspool that is Washington D.C. has once again surprised no one with the destruction of property created by billionaire Elon Musk.

Police for Washington D.C. have now arrested a couple who were found to be vandalizing Tesla vehicles, and, shocking, they were former bureaucrats and NGO employees, as Breitbart News reported.

The husband and wife team were going after the electric vehicles in a manner considered to be "political hate speech," as leftist retribution against the current president reached an all-time high.

Ironically, electric vehicles and Musk's innovations in the market were previously something held in the highest regard by those who are now taking out their vengeance on the carbon-friendly vehicles.

The Arrestees

Of the couple that was arrested, the husband is a former bureaucrat, whiel the wife was a known name in the world of NGOs.

According to a recent report by The Washington Post, D.C., Metro Police announced the arrest of Justin and Emily Fisher for alleged involvement in the vandalism.

MPD said that the suspects were found to have defaced four vehicles in the first three weeks of March.

Additionally, they wrote "political hate speech" on the vehicles, and Justin Fisher allegedly took part in vandalizing two other vehicles during the same time frame.

The Resumes

Emily Fisher is featured on the nonprofit Smart Electric Power Alliance website, where she is identified as co-chair of the executive board of City Year D.C., a public program that supports schools through AmeriCorps.

Justin Fischer worked for almost 15 years as a statistician with the Government Accountability Office before taking an exit in 2023 and now works as a consultant for agencies and NGOs.

Their combined resumes would lead one to believe that they wouldn't be likely to engage in dangerous or damaging activity, however as frustration with the current president is on the rise, general dissatisfaction has pushed many to the extreme.

The Charges

Police are looking into these incidents because they may include "Political Affiliation hate or bias" as defined in D.C. Official Code 22-3701.

This classification is subject to change, the government stressed, as the inquiry develops and new evidence becomes available.

Also they made it clear that prosecutors are not required to press hate crime charges just because an incident is classified as such.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the individuals in question surrendered to the MPD at district stations. Both Justin and Emily Fisher are facing charges of defacing public or private property; Justin with eight counts and Emily with five counts each.
