A former CNN producer and pedophile who recruited parents to let him "sexually train" their daughters has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for raping a nine-year-old girl.

John Griffin, of Stamford, Connecticut, was sentenced Tuesday for the depraved crime at a federal court in Vermont.

In addition to jail time, the scum bag will remain under supervised release for fifteen years. He was also ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution to the victim, who is now 11.

Prosecutors say Griffin sexually assaulted the girl at his $2.5 million ski house, where he had solicited parents to bring their daughters to be "sexually trained."

In online messages, Griffin stated that a "woman is a woman regardless of her age."

He paid the adoptive mother of the 11-year-old victim $3,000 to fly from Nevada to Boston, where he picked them up and drove them to his ski house.

"You make me sad and angry,” the victim told Griffin in court. “I’ll never trust anyone again.”

Griffin pled guilty in December to using interstate commerce to entice and coerce a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity. He had two other charges for enticing minors dropped as part of the plea deal.

He also allegedly proposed a “virtual training session” during which he suggested a mother and her 14-year-old daughter would remove their clothing and touch each other.

Worked at CNN for eight years

Griffin worked as a producer at CNN for eight years on the morning talk show New Day. He also worked closely with former anchor Chris Cuomo.

After his arrest, he was fired by CNN and his wife, with whom he has three children, filed for divorce and ownership of their $4.5 million house.

"We take the charges against Mr. Griffin incredibly seriously,” a CNN spokesperson said at the time. “We only learned of his arrest this afternoon and have suspended him pending investigation.”

Griffin must stay away from minors, except in the presence of an adult who has been approved by a probation officer, and he is prohibited from being in areas where children congregate such as schools and playgrounds.

The adoptive mother was also charged and sentenced to eight to 20 years in prison each on counts of attempted lewdness with a child under the age of 14, attempted sexual assault and child abuse.
