President Donald Trump survived two assassination attempts during last year's campaign, with one of them resulting in the death of a supporter.

The danger to Trump hasn't subsided, as last week saw a man get arrested for publicly threatening to kill him.

Former Coast Guard sharpshooter accused of posting threats online

According to Fox News, former Coast Guard Lt. Peter Stinson has been accused of repeatedly posting threatening remarks towards the president on social media.

Stinson, who served as a sharpshooter as well as a FEMA instructor, was described in an affidavit which was submitted on Friday by an FBI task force member.

The document noted that Stinson, who is scheduled to appear in a Virginia federal court on Wednesday, "has self-identified as a member of ANTIFA."

"Sides will be drawn. Antifa always wins in the end. Violence is inherently necessary"

Stinson allegedly posted one threatening comment in which he declared that the president needed to be "[L]uigied," on May 9.

That was apparently meant as a reference to Luigi Mangione, the man who has been accused of fatally shooting United Healthcare executive Brian Thompson in New York City last year.

Another post read, "Sure. This is war. Sides will be drawn. Antifa always wins in the end. Violence is inherently necessary."

Other posts made on multiple social media platforms laid out graphic threats against Trump that described him being murdered with firearms, poison, and bladed weapons. At one point Stinson allegedly predicted that "the party is going to be yuge" when Trump is killed.

Stinson allegedly posted the number "8647" to social media over a dozen times

What's more, Stinson is said to have made reference to the number "8647," which came to national prominence after former FBI Director James Comey posted a picture of it on his Instagram account.

Critics have pointed out how Trump is America's 47th president while the number 86 is sometimes used as a slang term for eliminating or killing someone.

"The post by Comey was interpreted in the news media as a violent threat to President Trump and prompted an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Secret Service," the FBI affidavit reads. "STINSON has since made 13 additional posts on Bluesky including the text, '8647.'"

"STINSON has since made 13 additional posts on Bluesky including the text, '8647'," the documents goes on to explain.
