Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio appears to be having a crisis in the romance department, including the recent ending of a 10-month fling with a liberal activist and now a female who's reportedly "stalking" him.

According to the New York Post, friends of the former mayor have reportedly told the media that they fear de Blasio's new fling, South Tucson Mayor Roxanna Valenzuela, is "stalking" him and creating new, unwanted problems.

Valenzuela was recently publicly outed as his latest fling, which reportedly was the bombshell that blew up his 10-month relationship with progressive activist Nomiki Konst.

His relationship with Valenzuela is also reportedly on the rocks, but recent events seem to suggest that she's not reading the room -- even going as far as following him to New York City for an event.

What's going on?

One source close to the situation, per the outlet, explained that the situation is causing de Blasio to have a "mental episode."

“What’s happening with Bill, and now that it’s out and people close are concerned, it’s like a mental episode he’s having, to be honest," the source reportedly said.

The Post noted:

To make matters worse, the budding courtship is apparently on the rocks — but Valenzuela seemingly never got the memo, and has been “stalking” him, even following de Blasio to the Big Apple recently, according to the source.

The source added, "Most of this is because she was telling people for days after [their tryst] she was going to be with him."

The outlet added:

Just last week, de Blasio scrapped his trip to Puerto Rico for the annual SOMOS political retreat when Valenzuela, a mom of two, flew up to New York City and he had to “calm her,” sources said.

Social media reacts

Users across social media commented on the relationship, and not many had anything nice to say about it.

"South Tucson is a wretched awful place to be. Homeless everywhere and crime ridden. I guess it makes sense she would have an affair in NY where she can feel at home," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "FYI South Tucson is actually a separate city and is a majority illegals."

Only time will tell where that relationship goes, but it's not looking good for the former mayor.
