Fox News reporter Trey Yingst in middle of Iranian missile strike on Tel Aviv
After Israel's brilliant strike against Iran, which will be talked about for ages to come, the Islamic Republic unsurprisingly retaliated using a barrage of missiles.
According to The Sun, Fox News reporter Trey Yingst terrified viewers during a live shot in Israel after he began yelling to everyone to run for cover as Iranian missiles rained down on their location.
One of the retaliatory missile attacks hit Tel Aviv, and Yingst could reportedly be heard telling his team to take cover as the missiles began coming down around them.
Yingst, an experienced wartime reporter who has seen his fair share of danger zones, seemingly remained calm during the moment other than asservatively telling his team to get under cover.
What's going on?
At the beginning of the video shot, Yingst remained fairly calm when telling viewers what was happening in the moment.
"There's a massive amount of fire coming to Tel Aviv right now," Yingst said as the video clip began, referencing the barrage of Iranian missiles.
That's when the situation got a little more exciting, as The Sun noted:
The energy in the broadcast then turned tense as explosions lit up the sky and Yingst said, "Time to go!"
"Guys, come on, everyone move!" he yelled. He told his crew to grab their equipment and go as the cameras jostled. A man could be heard shouting instructions behind Yingst.
Additional missile strikes kept coming through the night, with many of them being shot down by Israel's defense system, reportedly with the help of the United States, which added even more tension to the situation.
While Yingst certainly had a wild night on the ground in Tel Aviv, many viewers became angry across social media as they pointed out that Israel had asked reporters not to show footage of Iranian missile strikes, as it risks helping Iran target their strikes better.
Yingst reportedly ignored the warning and angered many across social media.
Social media reacts
Those who criticized Yingst for continuing to show the Iranian missile strikes in Israel held nothing back.
"Trey Yingst and Fox News should have their cameras and broadcasting equipment confiscated immediately for continuing to broadcast missile hit locations contrary to the guidance of Israeli authorities," one X user wrote.
