The gay group Gays Against Groomers slammed Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D) as a "pervert" on social media Thursday after she vetoed a bill that would have prohibited men from using the same bathrooms and locker rooms as young girls. 

“Katie Hobbs would rather have boys and girls side by side in varying states of undress than confront the mental health issues being broadly promoted as a matter of ‘inclusion.’ PERVERT Hobbs,” the group said.

Kari Lake reacts

The Gays Against Groomers tweet was in reaction to one by Kari Lake, Hobbs' former opponent in the 2022 governor's race who alleged voter fraud after losing the race.

“[Katie Hobbs] has vetoed SB 1040. This bill would have prevented biological men from sharing bathrooms, showers & locker rooms with young girls.”

“Katie Hobbs’ Arizona is not a safe place for families. It’s a playground for perverts & radicals,” the Kari Lake War Room tweeted.

The bill aimed to stop transgender bathroom policies that allowed people to use the bathroom or locker room they say corresponds with their gender identity.

The problem

The problem with transgender bathroom policies is that they assume no biological man would ever pretend to be transgender to get access to women's bathrooms and locker rooms so they could assault women there.

Just the short time these policies have been in effect shows otherwise, with a number of well-publicized incidents where women have been assaulted in these facilities.

The only real workable solution to this bathroom mess is to designate single-stall, gender-neutral bathrooms.

It's an obvious solution and can be done in most places where "family" restrooms or other single-stall facilities exist.

Causing damage

The radical left's push to treat transgender-identifying individuals exactly the same as biological males and females is causing damage in society, both with bathroom and locker room use and in women's sports where biological men have gained unfair advantages by saying they identify as women.

Obviously the left and LGBTQ+ allies did not consider all of the ramifications of their ideas before foisting them on the American people, which has caused unnecessary conflicts between them and the rest of society.

Gays Against Groomers has the right perspective here; let's hope it spreads further and common sense can take hold again.
