GOP governor says if Biden is indicted, 2024 could be an 'ugly ticket'
Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Monday that if President Joe Biden is indicted on bribery charges the 2024 presidential ticket could be ugly.
Sununu shared the remarks on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" concerning the Biden investigation.
“When the former president insults you, it means he’s scared of you,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu says about Donald Trump’s insults towards Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Sununu also discusses with CNN’s @andersoncooper the latest poll showing Trump's lead over DeSantis. pic.twitter.com/is5OCg6fJn

The comments
“I’m planning to vote for the Republican, but it’s not going to be Trump. As I’ve said before, I don’t think it’s going to be Biden on the other side," the governor said.
"I mean if Biden is the nominee and he’s indicted for some type of bribery scheme or charge, are you going to support him? I think Democrats have to look in the mirror and ask themselves a question about what could be an ugly ticket a year from now," he added.
"I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I just think that’s the way it’s playing out," said the New Hampshire Republican. https://t.co/bdfXQOR0qL

A bold prediction
"Trump is 'very, very beatable' in the GOP primary and there is a 'huge opportunity' for one of his rivals to break through, explained Sununu," Huff Post noted recently.
"On Biden, Sununu predicted the president will go 'through the primary process' and 'collect all the delegates' before 'a wild convention where he and his people start steering the delegates somewhere else,'" the report added.

Shocking the experts
“I don’t know whether it’s a grand scheme. I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I just think that’s the way it’s playing out," the governor told CNN's Poppy Harlow Sunday.
"I don’t think Trump or Biden are on that ticket," he predicted, without mentioning who he believes will be the alternative candidates.
Among Democrats, the next leading contender would be Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an individual opposed by many in his party over his more moderate views. Vice President Kamala Harris would also be an option but has a lower approval rating than Biden.
Among Republicans, several strong candidates exist following Trump, but Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the next in polls with a large gap between the two men.
The prediction will be shocking if it becomes true, with Sununu taking a rare position against the developing Trump-Biden rematch.
