During a recent stump speech for her husband Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris, Gwen Walz sparked a mountain of criticism and feedback for some of what she said. 

According to Fox News, Gwen Walz's speech to a Wisconsin audience was "cringe" and embarrassing for many.

The Minnesota governor's wife instructed the audience to use a motion that mimicked turning the page of a book, referencing Harris' repeated "turn the page" talking point at the debate with former President Donald Trump.

Gwen Walz spoke to the Harris-Walz supporters as if they were toddlers, and it was even worse watching it on video.

What happened?

First, Gwen Walz explained to the audience what she thought about Harris' debate against the former president, before instructing them to "turn the page" using her silly gesture.

"Now you probably saw that debate the other night. Yeah, that was great. And what Kamala Harris told us we had to do, was we had to turn the page. Yeah, because we have something really exciting headed in our direction," she said.

Fox News noted:

She then ordered the Democratic audience to make the "turn the page" gesture with their hands, over and over again. She declared that the party has "52 days to turn the page" on Trump's campaign to win the White House.

"You know what else that looks like?" Walz asked as she continued moving her hands in the page-turning motion. "Bye, bye. Bye bye, Donald Trump."

Social media reacts

Users across social media torched the governor's wife for the embarrassing, bizarre performance during her stump speech.

"I can report that Tim Walz’ wife is now confirmed 1000x worse than Hillary Clinton. I’m sorry you have to watch this," Benny Johnson wrote on X.

Another X user wrote, "Tim Walz’s wife is the living embodiment of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Holy crap she’s insane."

Hopefully, nobody has to see much more of Gwen Walz, as her speech was not only embarrassing, but it was nowhere near inspiring for anyone.
