Ever since her first presidential run in 2019, and especially during her current campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris has claimed that she once worked at a McDonald's restaurant while in college, presumably as evidence of a purportedly humble working-class background for the career politician.

Yet, investigative reporters have found no record of Harris ever working at a McDonald's and her campaign has now reportedly stopped referencing the supposed summer job during her college years, according to Breitbart.

In effect, the Harris campaign is now acting as though she never claimed to have worked at McDonald's despite multiple instances of the Democratic nominee doing exactly that.

Harris exposed over apparent fraudulent McDonald's claim

Breitbart noted that VP Harris, beginning with a rally speech to union workers during her failed 2019 run for the White House and sporadically over the past five years until the current campaign, has repeatedly claimed in campaign ads, interviews, and social media posts that she once worked at a McDonald's during her college years.

The outlet further observed that numerous liberal media outlets have dutifully echoed and bolstered that claim in an effort to help validate Harris' supposed middle-class upbringing and connection to the average American voter via the popular fast-food chain.

However, some reporters in the alternative media have scrutinized the claim and found no evidence whatsoever of Harris ever being a Golden Arches employee and her campaign has now reportedly gone silent about it in response to legitimate questions from actual journalists.

RealClearInvestigations senior reporter Paul Sperry wrote on X this week, "DEVELOPING: Kamala campaign has stopped referencing her alleged job at McDonald's and won't respond to media questions seeking the location of the McDonald's store and the dates of her employment at McDonald's, which appears nowhere in her memoirs or early resumes ... developing ..."

Investigative report finds no mention of McDonald's before 2019

Sperry's X post followed an in-depth investigative report from the Washington Free Beacon that tried but failed to find any confirmation of VP Harris' repeated claim that she once worked a summer job at a McDonald's in California's Bay Area while attending college in the early to mid-1980s.

Yet, until 2019, there was no mention from Harris of McDonald's in any of her prior political campaigns, in either of her two memoirs, or in two biographies written by others. Nor was it included on a job application and resume she filled out while attending law school.

The outlet even checked with McDonald's corporate headquarters, which keeps an extensive archive of franchisee records and loves to boast about famous public figures who once worked at the fast-food chain, but the corporation has made no statement about Harris' repeated claim and declined to respond to repeated requests for comment.

Trump slams Harris for apparent lie about McDonald's

Breitbart reported that former President Donald Trump weighed in on the issue during an appearance Friday at the Moms for Liberty convention in Washington D.C. and joked to the attendees about VP Harris, "She also said, 'I worked at McDonald’s.' Turned out she didn’t work at McDonald’s."

"Did anyone see that? After an exhaustive study that took about 20 minutes, they found out she never worked there," he added.

Trump reiterated that message on Saturday in a Truth Social post and wrote of his Democratic opponent, "Comrade Kamala Harris lied about working at McDonalds. SHE NEVER WORKED THERE, they think she’s 'nuts.'"

"Likewise, she lied about Fracking, the Border, Crime, the Economy, and the Democrat’s 'Suckers and Losers' HOAX, concerning our great military. She also lied about Arlington Cemetery and Afghanistan. She lies about everything!!!" the former president and GOP nominee added.
