Harris decides to no longer say she once worked at McDonald's
Vice President Kamala Harris has decided that she will no longer tell people that she once worked at McDonald's.
This, according to Breitbart News, is because Harris seems to have been caught in a lie.
It appears that the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nominee may never have worked at McDonald's.
This claim is based on reporting from the Washington Free Beacon.
The details
The Beacon begins by bringing up Harris's appearance, in April 2024, on The Drew Barrymore Show. It was there that Harris was asked whether she worked at McDonald's in the past.
"I did. Yes, I did work at McDonald’s. When I was at school … I did fries. And then I did the cashier," Harris claimed.
The Beacon has looked into this claim, and, according to the outlet, it has been unable to find any evidence for it.
The outlet reports:
Harris’s work at McDonald’s, which allegedly took place at a franchise in the California Bay Area the summer after her freshman year in college, is a recent addition to her carefully curated life story. For decades, Harris never mentioned it, not on the campaign trail nor in two books. It’s absent from a job application and résumé she submitted a year after she graduated from college. Third-party biographers did not write about it. Not until Harris ran for president in 2019 and spoke to a labor rally in Las Vegas did she mention the job, telling the crowd that she "was a student when I was working in a McDonald’s."
Having said all of that, the outlet could not conclusively say whether Harris did or did not work at McDonald's at some point in her life.
An admission of guilt?
Following the release of the Beacon's report, reporter Paul Sperry revealed that Harris's campaign has stopped claiming that Harris worked at McDonald's.
DEVELOPING: Kamala campaign has stopped referencing her alleged job at McDonald's and won't respond to media questions seeking the location of the McDonald's store and the dates of her employment at McDonald's, which appears nowhere in her memoirs or early resumes...developing...

Why exactly the campaign has stopped mentioning this is unclear. Many are suggesting that this is because it is not true, but, at the time of this report, the veracity of the McDonald's claim is uncertain.
This hasn't stopped former President Donald Trump from recently calling attention to the situation.
"She also said, ‘I worked at McDonald’s.’ Turned out she didn’t work at McDonald’s," Trump said on Friday.
