Newly released data suggests that Vice President Kamala Harris's attempt to use Liz Cheney to further her 2024 presidential campaign backfired big time. 

The data, according to Breitbart News, was recently published by Data for Progress.

What the data shows, in brief, is that swing state voters were not too happy about the fact that Harris, in the weeks leading up to the 2024 election, decided to join forced with Cheney.

This is not that surprising considering that Cheney is one of the least popular political figures in America. She has the support of neither Democrats or Republicans, but only establishment types.

One of the questions that pollsters looked into was whether voters were more enthusiastic or less enthusiastic about Harris after she teamed up with Cheney.

The data, published by Data for Progress, asked voters in Michigan and Pennsylvania if they were more enthusiastic or less enthusiastic about Harris after she campaigned with Cheney.

The clear answer was less enthusiastic.

With Michigan swing voters, 3-in-10 said Cheney’s endorsement made them less enthusiastic about Harris, while only 23 percent said they were more enthusiastic. Similarly, in Pennsylvania, 28 percent of swing voters said they were less enthusiastic about Harris after she campaigned with Cheney, while only 21 percent said the endorsement from the neoconservative made them more enthusiastic for Harris.

The Harris campaign hoped that appearing with Cheney, who had become a leading anti-Trump voice in the GOP after she served on the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol building, would bolster her image among independents and anti-Trump Republicans.

Suffice it to say that many were skeptical of this plan - including many on the political left.

Some political experts warned in the weeks leading up to the campaign that Harris campaigning with Cheney could damage her image among Muslim voters in the two key states. Democrats were already seeing warning signs in their polling numbers for Muslim voters, who were outraged over President Joe Biden's support for Israel.

Whether that is indeed what happened is unclear. The whole Cheney family is well-known for being war hawks. Whatever the case may be, the data unequivocally shows that Harris's Cheney ploy backfired in a big way.
