House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley were approached by a whistleblower earlier this year about an FBI document alleging bribery on the part of President Joe Biden.
According to Fox News, the individual in question is considered to be a "highly credible" source with a long track record.
Fox News cited an unnamed source on Friday as saying that the whistleblower "has been used by the bureau in multiple investigative matters dating back to the Obama administration."
This individual asserted that the document is an FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020 and it outlines a $5 million criminal bribery scheme dating back to Biden's time as vice president.
A spokesman for Grassley told Fox News, "We know the FBI has very serious allegations against then-Vice President Biden. The question is what did they do with it. Did they investigate the leads or sweep it under the rug?"
"This is exactly why we need transparency into the document and what the FBI did with it? That’s what Sen. Grassley has sought from the start," he added.
What's more, Fox News also reported on Thursday that the FBI is preparing to deliver the document to Capitol Hill on Monday.
Three sources confirmed to the network that it will be reviewed by Comer as well as House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin in a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF).
The FBI's decision to turn over the document comes after a drawn out fight that culminated with Comer threatening to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress.
The FBI confirmed today that the FD-1023 form alleging then-VP Biden engaged in a criminal bribery scheme exists.
Now, the Swamp is making moves to protect their own.

For his part, Comer discussed the situation during an interview with Newsmax host Rob Schmitt on Thursday, saying, "This is corruption on a scale we've never seen in the history of our country."

Comer asserted that Biden was provided with a large amount of cash by a foreign national from "a country we haven't discussed yet."
"We have a president of the United States whose family, while he was vice president, created these shell companies, and I don't think a lot of the liberal elitists that are in the media now know what a shell company is," he added.
