An embarrassing moment for President Joe Biden came this week when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was caught admitting that he is "old."

According to the Daily Mail, Clinton's admission came during a radio interview on Tuesday with radio host Zerlina Maxwell.

"Let's go ahead and accept the reality. Joe Biden is old."

"Somebody the other day said to me … 'Well, but, you know, Joe Biden's old.' I said, 'You know what, Joe Biden is old. Let's go ahead and accept the reality. Joe Biden is old,'" the Daily Mail quoted Clinton as saying.

"So we have a contest between one candidate who's old but who's done an effective job and doesn't threaten our democracy," she declared.

"And we have another candidate who is old, barely makes sense when he talks, is dangerous, and threatens our democracy," Clinton said of former President Donald Trump.

"So, really, pick between your two old ones,' she said Tuesday in regard to American's choosing between Biden and Trump to be the next president," the former secretary of state insisted.

Clinton says Biden and Trump "are effectively the same age"

However, the Daily Mail noted that Clinton quickly began "cleaning up her remarks one day later" in a post on Instagram.

"Joe Biden and Donald Trump are effectively the same age. Let's use that as a baseline. I'm choosing Biden. How about you?" Clinton asked.

"When you're lucky to live into your seventies or eighties, the difference of a few years doesn't matter all that much," the longtime," she added

That Clinton would wish to minimize Biden's age isn't surprising given how polling data suggests most Americans believe he is too old to serve out a second term in office.

Left-wing Atlantic magazine contributor Mark Leibovich acknowledged as much in an article published this week, writing that Biden "looks old, walks old, and seems not as sharp as he once was."

Suggests that Biden needed drugs to deliver State of the Union

Hollywood actor James Woods even suggested in a social media post that the president relied on prescription drugs to finish his State of the Union address.

"The teleprompter guy should have taken an ADDERALL cocktail, too. Then maybe he could have kept up with this drug-fueled rant down the rabbit hole with the Mad Hatter," Woods remarked.
