Fox News reported that Hollywood producer Kevin Turen passed away this weekend at the age of 44. His cause of death has not been revealed.

Turen was best known for having produced the television series "Euphoria," a drama which began to air on HBO in 2019.

HBO spokesperson says Turen "will be immensely missed"

A spokesperson for HBO provided Fox News with a statement that read, "We are saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our friend and colleague, Kevin Turen."

The statement went on to describe Turen as "a talented producer and collaborator and will be immensely missed by all who knew and had the fortune of working with him."

Jay Penske was a close friend of Turn, and he provided a statement of his own to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, "Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends."

"He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world," Penske continued.

Hollywood career after graduating from Columbia University

"Our collective heart breaks for them and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today," Penske said as he drew to a close.

Fox News noted that Turen was a graduate of Columbia University and in addition to "Euphoria" he also produced "The Idol" as well as "Irma Vep."

What's more, Turen co-founded Little Lamb Productions alongside "Euphoria" creator Sam Levinson five years ago.

Tributes to Turen quickly appeared online, including from one fan who expressed his "deepest sympathy and condolences to the Turen family."

Some speculate that Turen's death could be linked with COVID vaccine

However, some users of the social media platform formerly known as Twitter speculated that Turen's death could be linked to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Fox News pointed out that Turen's death came just months after "Euphoria" star Angus Cloud passed away at the age of 25 from a drug overdose.
