Homeless veterans forced out of hotels as Biden's migrant surge continues

According to the New York Post, homeless veterans were ousted from hotels in New York last week to make way for illegal migrants.

Sharon Toney-Finch is a disabled veteran who serves as CEO of the non-profit Yerik Israel Toney Foundation, and she told the Post, "Our veterans have been placed in another hotel due to what’s going on with the immigrants."

City offering hotels more money to house migrants

"One of the vets called me on Sunday," Toney-Finch recalled. "He told me he had to leave because the hotel said the extended stay is not available. Then I got another call."

The disabled activist said she contacted the paper after being brought to tears over 20 veterans being told to leave the places they had been staying in.

"A lot of them are Vietnam veterans. We do help them on a constant basis to get them benefits and help them find a place in society," she explained.

Toney-Finch suggested that the hotels were getting rid of the veterans because her organization can't afford to offer as much money as the City of New York can.

Record surge following end of Title 42

"That’s so unfair, because at the end of the day, we are a small nonprofit, and we do pay $88 a day for a veteran to be there," she complained.

Housing migrants is likely to become more challenging as Fox News host Bill Melugin reported that a record breaking 83,000 illegal aliens crossed the border last week.

That development appears to have been spurred on by the end of Title 42, a Trump-era COVID rule which allowed migrants to be swiftly deported.

"Border Patrol reports a record setting 83,000 migrants crossed our border illegally this week alone," Melugin told viewers on Saturday.

Enough migrants to fill the Dallas Cowboys football stadium

"Just to put that number in perspective for you, that is equivalent to a full capacity Dallas Cowboys football stadium crossing our border in a single week," he added.

Meanwhile, the Daily Wire reported that for his part, President Joe Biden headed off to his Delaware beach house for the weekend.

The website pointed out that Biden's vacation home is protected by a wall despite his opposition to constructing a wall along America's southern border.
